Raccoon Mountain SERC Race - June 29, 2008

Raccoon Mountain Trails Event Notice: The South East Race Conference (SERC) race # 7 is coming up June 29, 2008, at Raccoon Mountain. The promoters are starting the race at 8:00 am and racers will be on the course until around 5:00 pm. There will have about 150+ racers competing, several who will be completing multiple loops.

Racers: If you are interested in racing in this event you should go to the SERC website to register and get additional information: http://goneriding.com/EVENTS.htm

Non-Racers: This event has been permitted with TVA. While the trail will be open to everyone, non-racers are encouraged to avoid riding at Raccoon Mountain during the event. We suggest riding at Booker T. Washington State Park, as an alternative.

Is this an open race? I would assume there are different levels. I clicked on registration but it didn't really explain it. I have never raced but I am an experienced mtn biker. Would like to do it if they have different levels.

The race has a couple of different levels. The base class is the beginner class from what I understand (I will be racing for the first time also). The gone riding site has some info on it if you dig for it, but you can link right to the event registration here...

Yes you can register the day of. There will likely be a late fee for $8 or so. You can register tomorrow between 12-5 too.
