Rode Brush Creek Tues. Trail was in great shape!! Starting to get a little overgrown with briars but dirt was perfect. Riding Raccoon with their group on Thurs. evening, looking forward to it as I absolutely love riding down there!! Getcha bike & get out there, the weather is good, so get off the couch & shed a pound or two!!! C ya, Kev

Rode on 5/28 Quartz Loop - one large downed tree at the beginning of the loop. Thunder Rock Express - still scary fast... could use some work in the hard right turns where the go-fast yahoos seem to always run off the trail and down in the woods. It seems like every jump in the trail is followed by an immediate hard right. Don't get me wrong... I love this trail but it is a serious death trap. muhuahahahah... still big adrenaline and big fun. Thank the MTB-gods for 185mm disc rotors. Chestnut Loop - the hand-cut spot between the gravel forest rd and the good woodsy singletrack is pretty well washed out. Trail is technically rideable, but could use a bench cut. It's a very short section that I actually enjoy riding, but it's nearly impossible if you don't have serious low-speed tech skills. My Heckler loved it! I have not been on these trails for a couple of years and forgot how much fun they are.

Trails are in great condition. The Brush Creek Trail has two downed trees and a few small mud puddles. The rest of the system is in great shape.

Trail Description
The Tanasi trail system is located near the Ocoee White Water Center (4400 Old Copper Rd/ 4400 Highway 64) in the Cherokee National Forest. The trail system consists of mostly machine-cut singletrack loops that are connected togehter by forest service roads. No visit is complete without riding the Riverview Loop trail or decending the Thunder Rock Express trail, one of the best down hill cross country mountain bike trails in the state.
