SORBA-Chattanooga’s final Thursday Night Time Trial at Booker T. Washington State Park. The series was well attended with over 41 different people participating in at least in one race.
We are happy to report that due to the tremendous participation we will be hosting a similar time trial series on Raccoon Mountain starting in July. Check back in mid-June for more details.

The Thursday Night Time Trial Races Series is a five event time trial series held at Booker T. Washington State Park, hosted by SORBA-Chattanooga. Racers will be able to race the course twice each night, the best time being recorded for each evening’s results. Medals will be awarded for the first place winner of the series, in each category. On January 11th the Chattanooga Chapter of SORBA elected a new board.
Reelected to their former positions were, President Jeffrey Schaarschmidt, Vice President Erik Rippon and Secretary Karen Rogers.
Newly elected officers include Treasurer Christian Howard, Trails Director Minya James, Advocacy Director Rebecca Shearer and Membership Director James Holder.

Approximately 18 months ago the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) merged in order to more efficiently coordinate advocacy efforts.
Since the merger, a single membership provides the rights and privileges of both organizations at the low price of $30 for a individual membership.

Doug Coulter, the owner of Scott’s Bicycle Centre, in Cleveland, Tennessee, is in the hospital following a November 7th motorcycle
accident. Doug was riding his motorcycle with friends when he was struck by an SUV that turned into him.
