On March 7, 2009, seven SORBA-Chattanooga members traveled to Nashville to attend training to become certified as International Mountain Bike Patrollers.
The International Mountain Bike Patrol certification was taught in three parts.  The first part of the day was devoted to the duties and responsibilities of a mountain bike patroller.   The second part of the day was devoted to trail side repairs which a patroller might encounter while assisting other along the trail.

<p>On March 7, 2009, seven SORBA-Chattanooga members traveled to Nashville to attend training to become certified as International Mountain Bike Patrollers.</p>
<p>The International Mountain Bike Patrol certification was taught in three parts.  The first part of the day was devoted to the duties and responsibilities of a mountain bike patroller.   The second part of the day was devoted to trail side repairs which a patroller might encounter while assisting other along the trail.</p>
<p>Following a lunch break the attendees started the final step towards becoming a certified partoller.  The final part of the certification course was devoted to First Aid and CPR training to ensure that patrollers might be able to provide trail side assistance in the event they respond to an emergency that involves and injury.   All attendees completed the First Aid and CPR course and recieved their First Aid and CPR certification in addition to being certified as mountain bike patrollers.</p>
